At ASCEND Neurology, our physicians, and nurse practitioner are highly trained and dedicated to provide comprehensive neurological care. For more than 30-years, we have been at the forefront of the diagnosis, treatment and education of ADHD. We keep up with the most up-to-date testing and treatment methods. As neurologists, we utilize a rigorous approach to ADHD evaluation using detailed interviews, self-reporting scales and objective computer-based testing in the diagnosis and treatment of adult ADHD patients.

Dr. Schub has over 35 years of experience in the diagnosis and management of developmental aspects of neurology. For the past several years he has been increasingly involved in treating adults with ADHD. Dr. Schub was educated at Cornell University and University of North Carolina School of Medicine (M.D.) where he was a Morehead Fellow in Medicine. He trained in pediatrics at the University of Rochester and then in Neurology (Pediatric Neurology) at Emory University. He served as the Director of Medical Services at the Marcus Institute from 2001-2008 and has been a long time faculty member at Emory University School of Medicine. In addition to having 30+ years experience with adult and pediatric ADHD, Dr. Schub has published numerous articles, written book chapters, supervised clinical drug trials and lectured on the subject extensively.
ALICIA SMITH, C.PNP
Alicia Smith was born and raised in Atlanta and graduated from Walton High School in east Cobb County. She started her college education at University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and finished her Bachelor of Science degree in
nursing at Kennesaw State University. Alicia went on to earn a Masters of Science in Nursing at Emory University in 2008.
Before joining ASCEND Pediatric Neurology in September 2013, Alicia worked in a primary pediatric practice in Rome, GA for 4 years. Since starting at ASCEND in 2013, Alicia has gained expertise in the diagnosing and treatment of all areas of general neurology including epilepsy, movement disorders, migraines, and post-concussion syndrome. In addition, after working at ASCEND for several year, Alicia has acquired an interest and significant expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD including it’s complexities.
Outside of work, Alicia is a member of and serves as the communication chair on the board for the Georgia chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She works on an occasional basis in primary care at an after-hours pediatric clinic. She also sings with and is on leadership as librarian for the Atlanta Women’s Chorus.
